With all humble pride, I am pleased to say that Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to its credit, has bagged a host of enviable initiatives and projects directed solely towards the betterment and service to its members and the people of Sialkot in particular and also for the development of Pakistan as a whole. Amongst others, our Chamber has been proactive and in the fore front to recognize the challenges of the modern world and also of the corporate world to bring the women entrepreneurs in the mainstream of business activities by initiating a process of creating awareness and capacity building leading to greater participation, to greater decision making power and control to foster the economic empowerment of the women so that they could also play their effective role in the society.

For this purpose, an exclusive Departmental Committee on Women Entrepreneurs has been established in our Chamber which is very vocal and actively engaged to create a strong network of business women of Sialkot which, I am proud to say that they this Departmental Committee facilitates sharing ideas, explores business opportunities and deliberate upon bringing new tools, technologies and processes in trade and entrepreneurial business. In the last Annual General Meeting of the Chamber, it was the consensus and resolve of all the members of the Chamber to give maximum encouragement and boost to the women entrepreneurs to pave way for shouldering the top notch positions of the Chamber.

As a step forward, in collaboration with Centre for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), our Chamber has established Women Resource Centre at SCCI to empower women in business for the development of the economy of Pakistan. Our Chamber has also launched this exclusive interactive website for Women Resource Centre to provide on-line business related information.
